The Penn State chapter of Uplifting Athletes says thank you to some of its most generous donors.  More than 30 people attended a donor appreciation luncheon on Sunday, October 9th at Penn State.  This past July, the chapter raised more than $100,000 for the Kidney Cancer Assocation at the annual "Lift For Life" competition at Holuba Hall.  This year's total was the most ever raised at the "Lift For Life" event. 

The Penn State Chapter of Uplifting Athletes has elected new officers for 2011. Offensive Tackle Mike Farrell (Pittsburgh) was named President. Offensive Tackle Eric Shrive (Scranton) was voted by teammates Vice President, while Linebacker Mike Yancich (Washington) was named secretary and Ty Howle (Wake Forest, NC) was selected to be Head of Operations.

The date for this year's Lift For Life is Friday, July 8th at Holuba Hall.  This year's date allows fans to avoid the traffic associated with Arts Fest Weekend.
