Members of the 2011 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, a national community service award honoring college football players who stand out for their commitment to volunteerism, shared their football skills with children of the YMCA of Greater New Orleans on January 2, 2012. The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® features Northwestern's Al Netter, among others.  Netter helped to start the Northwestern chapter of Uplifting Athletes which raises money for Niemann-Pick Type C in honor of former Notre Dame football coach Ara Parseghian.

The AFCA Good Works Team took to the field as part of a special clinic at Tad Gormley Stadium.  More than 200 YMCA children were completely surprised by the stars.  The football clinic marks the 4th consecutive years members of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team has traveled to the Crescent City to make a positive impact on the community leading up to the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
