BC's 3rd Annual "Lift For Life" in the Books

Another $7,000 is raised to fight Ewing’s sarcoma!  The BC chapter of Uplifting Athletes continues to raise awareness for the rare disease in honor of teammate Mark Herzlich.   The Eagles held their 3rd Annual "Lift For Life" on Friday, July 22nd.  The fun-to-watch weight lifting competition was a chance to meet the 2011 Boston College Eagles.

The Boston College chapter chose to benefit Ewing's sarcoma after Herzlich was diagnosed with the rare cancer in 2009.  Herzlich returned to the playing field in 2010 and is now hoping to continue his career in the NFL.  Since 2009, the year Herzlich was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, the BC chapter of Uplifting Athletes has raised more than $250,000 for the Sarcoma Foundation of America to fund research grants.
