Happy Holidays from Uplifting Athletes

Scott Shirley

Dear Friends of Uplifting Athletes,

There are many occasions throughout the year when I reflect upon the efforts and achievements of Uplifting Athletes. During the holiday season, our thoughts gratefully turn to those who have given so selflessly to make our progress possible.

2011 has been an exceptional year of growth for Uplifting Athletes. In just twelve months we have expanded our university chapter network, forged collaborative relationships between college football leaders, shared the stories of Rare Disease Champions, launched an ambitious five year, $1.4 million dollar capital campaign and invested in six rare disease research projects. These efforts would not have been possible without your continued support, so I urge you to take a moment this holiday season to reflect upon your contributions and look back on them with pride.

On behalf of a community of nearly 30 million Americans affected by rare diseases, Uplifting Athletes wishes you and your family a very happy holiday season! We look forward to working with you in the 2012 to create another prosperous year.

Sincerely,
Scott Shirley
Executive Director

PS- Please consider donating to Uplifting Athletes for your end-of-year giving or purchasing tickets to our inaugural Gridiron Gala on April 20th, 2012 as a unique holiday gift that will benefit the rare disease community!
