PLYMOUTH, Mass. -- Asked Wednesday before the start of his second annual celebrity golf tournament whether he is a big golfer, former Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich let loose a hearty laugh.

"I am a big golfer, about 6-4, 250," he said, "but I'm not a good golfer. I'm not very good, but I don't really care. I have fun with it."

Lori Todaro, Newville, PAWithout treatment paid for by the National Institutes of Health, Lori’s son Nino might be unable to walk.  Other than a small chest port under his shirt that allows doctors to administer his drugs, the eight-year-old’s body gives little indication of the rare and debilitating periodic fever syndrome (PFS) he suffers from.  For now, Nino will continue receiving the experimental drug cocktail that allows him to attend school every day and play sports.

When Jon and Carol Willie took their kids Alison (12) and Eric (7) cross-country to lobby at Congress for Kidney Cancer Day, they were surprised by what they learned.  One of the staffers they met was shocked that the newest drug was not being covered by insurance…until they said it was for kidney cancer.  The staffer quickly explained that it was not a “popular cancer.”  Eric offered the staffer a green bracelet (for kidney cancer) before they left, but the staffer politely declined because they cannot accept gifts.  Aft
