Riley Dixon Is Punting For Rare Diseases

Philadelphia, Pa. (September 6, 2023) – Riley Dixon, punter for the Denver Broncos, has launched a season-long campaign to support Uplifting Athletes and the rare disease community. Inspired by his long-standing relationship with Uplifting Athletes Executive Director, Rob Long, Dixon will use his platform to inspire and raise funds for the community.

“I’m excited to launch this campaign and support Uplifting Athletes,” Dixon said. “My hope is that my friends, family, and all of Bronco nation will join me in this challenge so we can bring awareness to the 1 in 10 Americans living with a rare disease.”

Supporters can join Dixon’s campaign by making a pledge for every punt he pins opponents within their own 20-yard line during the 2023-24 season. Dixon has personally pledged to donate $500 per punt to his campaign. Between his and his supporter’s pledges, Dixon aims to raise over $25,000.

“I am proud to use my platform to drive progress forward for the more than 27 million people living in the United States that still need access to an FDA-approved treatment,” Dixon said. “I will be giving my all on the field to help the Broncos win and to support Uplifting Athletes.”

Dixon, the 228th overall pick of the 2016 draft, spent his first two professional seasons in Denver, managing 45.7 gross yards per punt, before being traded to the New York Giants in 2018. Dixon averaged 45.2 YPP —with a career-high 71-yarder — across four years with the Giants. He spent last season with the Los Angeles Rams, setting a personal-best 48.4 YPP average.
