Noah Guy Lewis Guiberson was born and raised in Houston, Texas. In 2015, he moved to New York City and began his PhD at the Weill Graduate School of Medical Sciences at Cornell University, joining Dr. Jacqueline Burré’s lab and working on several projects pertaining to STXBP1 Related Disorders, a set of developmental and epileptic encephalopathies caused by mutations in the synaptic protein STXBP1. After defending his thesis he began his postdoctoral work in the Burré Lab, continuing to work with STXBP1 and broadening his focus to incorporate other synaptopathies.
